Withdrawals
In order to keep a collection useful, it is necessary to remove materials in print and non-print using the following criteria:
1. Information known to be obsolete, i.e. superseded by current knowledge.
2. Worn covers, missing or torn pages.
3. Material no longer of interest to the community/not circulating.
4. Book purchased because of strong current demand but of little quality.
The withdrawn books are discarded and offered for sale to the public at a nominal charge, utilized at outreach sites or placed in the trash.
