Holds
Holds may be placed on titles listed in the library's online catalog. Holds may be requested at the circulation desk at either library, or you may place your own holds using the online catalog. To place your own hold online, you will need to provide your patron ID number, which is your library card number, and your PIN.
Holds may also be placed on new materials which are on order but not yet in the catalog. These holds must be requested at the circulation desk at either library.
Holds are filled in the order in which they are placed.
Patrons are generally notified by telephone when their item is available for pickup. You may choose email notification instead by asking to have that preference noted in your library record. A notice is mailed to patrons who cannot be reached by phone or email.
If a hold item is not picked up within seven days, it will be returned to the shelves or given to the next person on the item's hold list.
