Library Board of Trustees
Library policies are determined by a ten-member board of citizens appointed by the governing bodies of Brunswick County, Greensville County and the City of Emporia. Board members serve a term of four years, and may serve no more than one additional term.
Board meetings are held bi-monthly on the second Wednesday, and alternate between the Brunswick County Library and the Richardson Memorial Library.

The Meherrin Regional Library Board of Trustees is served by Library Director Sarah A. P. Raible in an informational and advisory capacity and Executive Manager Susie Marston as assistant to the secretary. These two positions serve as ex-officio membership to the governing Library Board of Trustees.
